Instructor's Solutions Manual (ISM)
The primary components of the instructor's solutions manual are:
- Section Exercises – The ISM has detailed solutions of every problem in every exercise set.
- Review and Test Material – The ISM provides detailed solutions to every problem in the chapter review material, chapter tests, and cumulative tests. The solutions can be used as a line-by-line verification that you are doing the problems correctly, or as an example to get you started on the next problem.
- ISM verses SSM – The Instructor's Solutions Manual differs from the Student Solutions Manual in that it has step-by-step solutions to all of the problems, but the solutions are not as detailed as those in the Student Solutions Manual. The Student Solutions Manual provides step-by-step solutions like the examples in the text with commentary and insight as to how the problems are worked. The SSM also has chapter tests with detailed solutions.
